Autumn Winter 2025: Lights On
The 16Arlington AW25 collection, captured in a photographic series by Green in New York City and styled by Dara Allen, is a modern tribute to 1980s glamour. Featuring tactile textures, lurex, sequins, and bold silhouettes, Creative Director Marco Capaldo reinterprets power dressing through the lens of the era’s iconic music, fashion, and film. The collection plays with the decade’s divisive aesthetics—clashing sequins, puffball skirts, and vivid block colors—while reimagining 16Arlington’s signature elements. Oversized sequins form needle-like embellishments, feathers are layered over lurex, and the brand’s logo appears on belt buckles, nodding to both ’80s brand-mania and 16Arlington’s growing cult following.
“The 1980s was, like today, a time of extremes,” reflects Capaldo. “We’ve all heard this idea that hemlines get longer in periods of economic recession – I wanted to do the opposite, to resist this shift towards minimalism, to tap back into the unapologetic glamour that the brand was built on and argue there is still a place for dressing up, for maximalism, for joy. There has to be.”
